Is the goal of a Kidney Belt away from the impact or cold air?
I grew up in a cold climate I always thought the belt was meant for the protection of kidney cold air to reduce the risk of kidney infection. But after doing research on here appears to be intended for impact protection?
Kidney belts are good for choppers rigid, and dirt bike riding. Their goal is to keep your internal organs to flop around. Touring riders sometimes wear a belt or kidney weight lifting belt to support the back. For some of us old, a kidney belt increases to the point where our gut hanging over our belts, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. I wish I had been wearing one day when I endoed DRZ. My inmost parts of the fascia and I pissed blood for three days.
