Snowboard Face

is it the long or short end on a snowboard that faces down hill?

im doing some things to my board, and this little bit has completely eluded me, which end of the snowboard, the long, or the short, faces down hill when you ride?
you suck belinda, i've snowboarded two years, and have rented each year,with freestyle boards that dont matter which end is first, just bought a new board and am putting the bindings on thanks much snow dog, 10 for you

The long end faces downhill. Check the graphics, they should be readable with the nose up. You can also center your bindings so the nose and tail are more equal. You don't want the nose to be shorter than the tail, but it is okay for the nose to be longer than the tail (helps when riding in powder to keep the nose up out of the powder).
