kidney belts?
I'm still fairly new to riding ATVs and have been exploring some of the gear available. Can anyone confirm that kidney belts are really beneficial? They sound gimmicky to me. I was looking at this one http://www.atvurge.com/river-road-leather-kidney-support-belt/
I have been riding for years. Terrain ranging from flat country to the mountains. I never wore/wear one-neither do the folks I ride with. I do use them when riding dirt bikes though.
Certainly NOT recommending against them. Just the old keep it simple rules seem to work quite well. One piece of equipment that all recommend is a very good helmet though. And a pair of comfortable riding gloves is not a bad idea. Also the little “thumb savers” that mount on your throttle make long rides a lot more comfortable.
