Fathers Day
Jan/110
What Father's Day gift would be permitted on a plan that is inexpensive and fun?
My two sisters and I need to get Father's Day gift for my father, but we'll be on the plane with him tomorrow. So we need something that can bring with him. Suggestions? He never asks for anything. He likes techno but we always get him the odd dance music. Any input is great
In addition, or instead of every gift, make a list of reasons why you like it. Maybe I enrolled on a wall plague. Please http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVQP6GL-Ps0 do not get a joke card. In my 20 + years of working with the father, it was rare for a card joke about its capabilities is very appreciated. I wrote to "Dear Abby" for Father's Day March 19, 2005. DISCRETION OF JOB WELL DONE IS what fathers WANT Dear Abby: Today is Father's Day, so why not try to do more for that dear old dad to give him the traditional greeting card that promotes the idea that all dads are imbeciles, followed by a collect call to see what he thought of the card. (Father's Day is the day the most Collect calls are made.) We should treat our fathers the way we treat our mothers Mother's Day and show them that we appreciate them to be there. Yes, you probably tell your father all the time that you love, but men's minds work differently. Any who can say "I love you", but as men, knowing that we are appreciated for a job well done is what really puts us in tears. Some thing you can do - especially you son there (but girls can do too) - is to ensure that Dad was the doctor for a check health, including depression screening. This can go a long way to ensure that he is here next year Father's Day. I was not raised by my father, but by a stepfather. Although we have not seen eye to eye on many things, I would not be the person I am today if it were not for him. This man, who has spent years climbing on top of construction equipment burdensome to prepare the ground for many households, businesses, roads and highways of Southern California, it is now difficult to get into a car. Although no houses or roads in its name on them, they are evidence of his life and the lives of men like him. So today, let us do something more for the dad, without him pulling out his wallet to pay. - George McCasland, Overland Park, Kansas ***************************************** ********************** Remember, there are many of us fathers sitting in nursing homes whose children live too far away to visit. Contact an activities director on volunteering on Sunday morning. Read aloud a list on why you appreciate your father.
