relative is thinking about buying a Harley Davidson as his first bike, how do i talk him outta it?
He's a really nice guy, in his 40's and he told me he wants a Harley, being nice back to him i told him to start out with a smaller bike because he never rode a bike before, but he's determined to get a Harley, his wife is strongly against it cause she fears he could crash and die, but he also wants to go riding with me and wants me to teach him how to ride.
Its tough to hide my sheer hatred for Harley Davidson from him, and if he does get a HD I don't want to be seen riding with him, even the touch of a HD disgusts me.
i figure the only way out of this is to join sides with his wife and talk him out of any bike all together?
The major reason why he wants a HD is because to help the local workforce, HD Factroy, York,PA
and,,,, he was asking about the HD883, thats the WORST bike he could buy
yes,, he has the money
no, he doesn't drink, he's a good family man that goes to church
he's healthy, not fat, hes a good looking man
that typicial HD profile is wrong for him
Try, discussing the high maintenance issue with HD and the Virtually maintenance free V twins( the thing he's in Love with) that Honda and
Kawasaki make. Not to mention how absolutely tough loookin' they are.
Let him hear the rumble they make.
