How long should I wait until going to the hairdresser again?

I colored my hair on October 6 (so around a month ago) from my dark brown to a mix of beige blonde and kind of like a dark caramel. My re-growth is only now sort of starting to show. Eventually, I want to go all beige blonde but me and my hairdresser agreed to do it gradually, so my question is - how long do i have to wait until getting more blonde foils in?

Normally I like to work with at least 8 weeks of hair growth. That is about 1 inch of regrowth. It allows better application of the highlights on the foils & less likelihood of breakage.
